Mark Anthony Hill

Mark Anthony Hill

Born in Jamaica, in the resort capital of Montego Bay, Mark Anthony Hill is currently hiking up mountains of his creative mind in New York City and Fort Lauderdale. Mark began painting as a schoolboy at the prestigious Cornwall College, an all-boys’ high school. He was mentored by his art teacher and for a time, the art was invisibly painted, patiently waiting on an easel while he pursued his bobsled and soccer dreams.

Mark's legacy began in 1995 as a soccer player in Jamaica, when he scored an unprecedented goal to secure the Jamaican Dacosta Cup championship title for his high school, Cornwall College.

Channeling his physical background, Mark sits astride the threshold of where sports and art meet. A former member of Jamaica's bobsled team,1999-2006. Mark, unfortunately, never made it to the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics because of a bobsled related crash in Lillehammer Norway, in which he received an impossible 150 stitches to his face. His scar is a present reminder of his challenges and his focused drive to leave a beautiful scar on the painting world.
